Q: Why hire a professional pooper-scooper?
A: People hire Scoop Doggie Dog for three main reasons. One is that they do not have the time; another is that they don't have the ability; finally, most people just don't like doing the job themselves.
Q: Can you work with our dog in the yard?
A: In most cases, yes. We get along well with dogs; however, there are some cases when a dog will not let us into the yard. If you know that your dog is not good with strangers, or it becomes apparent that your dog will not allow us to clean the yard, then we ask that you restrain or confine the dog. We don't want to take unnecessary risks with your dog or ourselves.
Q: What are the dangers associated with dog waste?
A: Many of the canine related diseases, such as parvo, distemper, rabies and worms can be transmitted from one dog to another or reinfect the dog through contact with the infected dog's waste. Veterinarians recommend removing the feces as often as every week. For more information regarding diseases, click here.
Q: What types of sanitary methods do you use?
A: To prevent the spread of disease, we use a cleaning solution, after every stop, on all equipment that might have contacted the waste. The solution kills canine parvovirus, distemper and pseudorabies virus, among others. All waste is double bagged and disposed of according to state and local waste regulations.
Q: Do I have to sign up for six months or a year?
A: No -- We can start and stop your service over the phone or email. We do not require contracts, there is no minimum service period, and there is no advance notice required to cancel service. All we need is your authorization to enter your yard.
Q: I would like to surprise a friend with your unique service. How can I?
A: You can give the gift of a clean yard to a friend with Scoop Doggie Dog Gift Certificates. Gift Certificates come in one month increments and if your friend decides to hire Scoop Doggie Dog, they will receive their first visit FREE.
